Funny SantaBanta
NAME CALLING
The
world’s most avid cricket fan, Banta Singh, had arrived early at the stadium
for the first one day international, only t realise that he had left his ticket
at home.
Not
wanting to miss any of the match, he went to the ticket booth and got in a long
queue for another seat. After an hour’s wait he was just a few feet from the
booth when a voice called out, “Hey, Balwinder!’ He looked up, stepped out of
the queue, and tried to locate the owner of the voice ……..with no success.
He
realised he had lost his place in the queue, and had to go back in the end of
the line and wait all over again. After he had purchased his ticket, he was
thirsty, and went to buy a coke. The line at the counter was also very long.
But since the game hadn’t started he decided to wait. Just as he got to the
counter, a voice called out, ‘Oye Balwinder !’ Again Banta got out of line
looking for owner of the voice. But with no luck.
He
was very upset as he got back in line for his Coke. Finally he had his Coke and
took his seat, eager for the game to begin. As he wanted for the game to start,
he heard the voice calling, Hey Balwinder!’ once more. Furious, Banta Singh
stood up and yelled at the top of his lungs, ‘My name is not Balwinder!’
THE JEALOUS HUSBAND
Jealous
Banta hired a private detective to check on the movements of his wife. He
wanted more than a written report; he wanted a video tape of his wife’s
activities.
A
week later, the detective returned with tape. They sat down together to watch
it. Although the quality was less than professional, Banta saw his wife meeting
another man! He saw the two of them laughing in the park. He saw them enjoying
outdoor café.
He
saw them dancing in a dimly lit nightclub. He saw a man and his wife
participate in a dozen activities with utter glee.
‘I
just can’t believe this, ‘ Banta said, distraught. The detective said, what’s
there not to believe? It’s right up there on the screan!’
Banta
replied, ‘I can’t believe that my wife
could be so much fun!’
THE CHINESE CONNECTION
Santa
had a fourth child. He filled the columns on the birth certificate:
‘Mother
: Sikh.
Father
: Sikh.
Kid
: Chinese.
‘how
can you write “Chinese” when both parents are Sikh?’
‘Aah,
‘ said Santa reading a newspaper. ‘It says that every fourth person born on the
earth now is a Chinese.’
