FATHER’S SON
Santa fell in love and wanted to Merry Kunwarjeet. He was
excited at prospect of marriage and told his father Banta singh, of his
intentions.
‘Dear Santa dutifully forget about his Kunwarjeet and
fell in love with Kiran. He approached his father again and told him about
Kiran.
His father objected again, ‘You can’t marry Kiran, and
please don’t tell your mother, because Kumwar and Kiran and several more I know
are your half sisters.’
When Santa’s mother learnt about this she said, ‘Dear
Santa, do what makes you happy. Marry Kunwar or marry Kiran, because Banta is
not your father!’
SERVING TWO MASTERS
A
man once challenged Mark Twain to quote some passage from the scriptures
forbidding polygamy.
‘certainly,’
Replied the humorist, ‘No man can serve two masters.’
NOT SO LETHAL
Burglars
broke into Banta’s house on Diwali night. Gathering courage Banta picked up his
son’s pistol and shouted, ‘Hands up’. The burglars put up their hands. Banta
gave them a sound thrashing while holding the pistol in one hand.
Hearing
their cries for mercy Banta’s son woke up and ran to help his father. ‘Papa,
papa, you won’t know how to use this pistol, ‘ he said. ‘First fill it with
water then press the trigger.
